Think of your home in a very personal way for a moment. Think about all the memories and think about the location; think about the sounds you here on beautiful summer days; think about the smells that fill the atmosphere when you open the door during your favorite season; think about all these things and put it in a category: Romantic Jazz, Renaissance Classical, Cherokee Tribal, Nature Sounds or Holiday Music. Depending on the season you are selling in and the category of your choice, find a station on your home television that plays that selection of music while your house is being viewed. Humans have a natural love for music because certain genres are known to slow the heart rate and relax the brain waves; this causes one to relax and truly take in a moment. Think of your favorite movie then focus in on your favorite scene and imagine it without music. Music also enhances the memory of something especially something of significance. Psychologically if one is to get in a car accident while a particular song is playing, and the song is played quite a time after the incident, the individual will recollect the feeling and emotion of that tragedy once again and it will create a negative response. Even without the music playing the individual's chances of remembering that scene will be increased because of the sounds going on while it occurred. This also works with nostalgaic moments, such as purchasing a wedding or a first date or purchasing a home. When you can put music to the sound of a memory the moment becomes very surreal. Therefore relaxing music while someone views your home gives you as a seller and advantage at "mind control"....hah don't we all wish! Unfortunately it will only make your home more memorable when they go over their "go-sees" that day. Music is vital, light a few candles and the market is yours!
