How "Homey" is too "Homey"?

Often an issue, while viewing a home, is feeling like a stranger. When a buyer walks into a home, they want to be able to imagine how their family photos would look on the wall, or how their paintings or favorite collectibles would fit in. By leaving your own photos up on the walls and your scrapbooks on the tables and any other personal items, you are alienating your buyers. They feel like they are visiting a home rather than looking at it as their future home. Many sellers either take pictures down and hide them until the showing is over, or they replace it with items that are not as personal. Unfortunately there is not a huge variety of options as far as replacing photo frames on the walls, but I hope this was of some assistance to my readers!
