This past weekend our area experienced a powerful tornado and many families were effected and homes damaged or destroyed. Anytime something like this happens our first thought is, "Is everyone okay?". Once we thank our lucky stars for everyone to be safe and sound the hard part of assessing damage and picking up the pieces follows.
Trying to figure out where to begin, what steps to take and where to go from that point is hard and there are not always clear answers. However, this evening I came across a great article put out by the Insurance Institute Information that answers these questions. It explains the insurance, step-by-step process of submitting your claim and what to do in order to prepare for such a disaster in the unlikely event that one occurs.
This article contains some great information that I believe everyone in our Jacksonville community will benefit. Click on the link below and it will take you right to the article. After you take a minute to read it, come back to the blog and let's discuss it.
